Getting started

From install to your first push in a few minutes.

Install

re: will be on the App Store and Google Play. The store listings are not live yet: the links will show up here and on tryre.dev once they’re published.

You need a Resend account with at least one team. There’s no re: account to create.

Sign in with Resend

  1. Tap Sign in with Resend

The app opens Resend’s authorization page in the system’s secure browser. You type your password on Resend, never in re:.

  2. Pick the team

The consent screen is Resend’s. It shows the team picker and the client host (tryre.dev). Each authorization covers one team.

  3. Pick the access level

Choose Full access. With Sending access (emails:send) the app can only send email and shows the Sending access only screen. See scopes.

  4. Confirm on Resend

Once you authorize, Resend sends you back to the app, which exchanges the code for a token and keeps it in the device’s secure storage.

The app follows the system language. You can switch with the PT · EN picker on the sign-in screen or later in Settings › Language.

Onboarding

Four screens, all skippable:

  1. What we found. Verified and pending domains, sends over the last 7 days and whether the account has an inbox. Your 7-day re: Pro trial starts here, with no card and no account.
  2. Notifications. The app asks for notification permission and creates a webhook on your account pointing to the relay (relay.tryre.dev).
  3. Events. The recommended events come checked. Rules (bounce limit, do not disturb) are unlocked during the trial.
  4. All set. Shows when the Pro trial ends. No automatic charge: on day 8 you choose.

Notification permission

It’s the only permission requested during onboarding. re: does no tracking, so there’s no ATT prompt on iOS. Face ID is only requested when you turn on the lock in Settings › Security.

If you tap Not now, nothing is created on your account. To turn it on later, open More › Alerts and tap Turn on notifications. If the permission was denied in the system, the app shows Notifications are off on this device with a shortcut to Open Settings.

You can send yourself a test push anytime from More › Alerts › Send a test alert.
